Real Hands On

Employee Engagement Survey in the UAE: For Multinational, Multi-Entity Workforces

In the UAE the challenge is rarely whether to listen but how to get one coherent picture across nationalities, entities and sometimes countries. Real Hands-On designs and runs the programme; Corpmetrix® supplies the PEACE® platform and Action Hub®.

What is different about listening in the UAE

  • Many nationalities, one survey

UAE teams often include dozens of nationalities with different expectations of management and feedback. Item wording must be plain and culturally neutral, and results should be read with that diversity in mind.

  • English-led, Arabic-ready

English is usually the main working language, with Arabic needed for specific populations and entities. We deploy both and keep meaning aligned.

  • Multiple entities and jurisdictions

Groups may span mainland, free-zone and regional entities. Governance, reporting lines and who sees which results should be settled before launch.

  • High mobility, shorter tenure

Where people move often, the time between listening and visible action matters even more. Fast, credible follow-up is part of the design.

Three common programme patterns

UAE-only programme

One or several UAE entities, usually English-led with Arabic where needed. Suited to organisations building their first structured listening routine.

UAE as regional hub

A regional head office running one comparable programme across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and other markets, with local debriefs in each.

Group alignment

A UAE entity that belongs to a global group and needs local insight alongside the group’s own survey calendar.

An honest note on experience

Our deepest engagement programme experience is with banks and large organisations in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, including multi-year work. For UAE organisations we apply the same consulting method and PEACE® framework. If regional comparability matters, that experience across neighbouring markets is directly relevant.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have experience in the UAE?
Real Hands-On has worked in the UAE since expanding to Dubai in 2019. Our engagement programme experience is strongest with banks and large organisations in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, including multi-year programmes, and we apply the same method to UAE organisations. We will be open about relevant experience during scoping.
Can one survey cover the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt?
Yes. A single PEACE®-based instrument can be deployed across countries so results are comparable, while debriefs and workshops are adapted locally. Reporting rules are set so small groups are not identifiable.
How is employee data protected?
Real Hands-On is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and uses minimum-n reporting with role-based access. Requirements under the UAE’s federal personal data protection law and any free-zone regimes that apply to your entities should be reviewed with your legal team; we confirm hosting and data-handling arrangements with you at scoping. This is not legal advice.
Who delivers and who provides the technology?
Real Hands-On is the consulting provider responsible for design, delivery and follow-through. Corpmetrix® is the technology partner supplying the survey platform, PEACE® analytics and Action Hub®.
Is an engagement survey right for us, or a satisfaction survey?
It depends on the question. For retention, culture and manager effectiveness, engagement is the better fit; for practical conditions or reaction to a specific change, satisfaction may be enough. We will advise during scoping.
